Keiko Fujimori: what happened in the Cócteles case (campaign financing, Odebrecht contributions) case

Peruvian politician (Fuerza Popular), proclaimed winner of the 2026 presidential election by Peru's electoral authority (JNE) on 3 July 2026. The Lava Jato prosecution team alleged that Fuerza Popular improperly received about 17 million soles in campaign contributions, including money from Odebrecht, masked through fundraising events, according to El Peruano and Europa Press.

The appeals court rejected the appeals of the prosecutors and the state attorney's office and confirmed the definitive archiving of the case in favour of Keiko Fujimori, Fuerza Popular and other defendants. Response

Fujimori rejected the prosecutors' request, saying it was driven by "motivaciones políticas", according to Europa Press.
