Former first lady of Peru. Prosecutors alleged that Heredia and Ollanta Humala laundered funds from Venezuela and Odebrecht used in the 2006 and 2011 election campaigns of the Partido Nacionalista Peruano, according to El Peruano.

Outcome todayAs of 13 August 2026 Heredia's 15-year money laundering conviction had been annulled and the case definitively archived, with the arrest orders against her lifted. Panamericana reported that her asylum in Brazil remained in effect and that she still faced a separate investigation in the Gasoducto Sur Peruano case.

Her lawyer David León said she is not a fugitive and that the authorities know where she is, according to América TV.
